211 vs 212 degrees

The Middle School Track Team is working to help student athletes become better at everything they do. We have been talking about the difference a little extra effort can make. We are using the metaphor of 211 degree water just being hot while 212 degree water can produce steam. Steam can power trains and produce electricity. Today in practice we had 14 athletes step up and show 212 degree effort by running an extra optional 400 at the end of practice. Ask if you student was part of this group. As a disclaimer we have no relationship with the producers of this video, nor do we have knowledge of products beyond what is shown in this video. Just a good metaphor.
